C-12 Dance Theatre Summer Intensive
C-12 Dance Theatre are offering a unique opportunity for a group of dancers to work with the choreographers and dancers of C-12 Dance Theatre for one week (Mon-Fri) towards the end of August. If you have just graduated, looking at getting into dance or if you are looking for a way to do class everyday, keep fit and learn a physically explosive piece of dance theatre, this is for you!
Each day will begin at 10am and finish at 5pm.
Training
A professional class in the morning, focusing on a different dance technique per day. This is followed by learning/devising a sequence in the afternoon.
Performing
At the end of the week, you will be able to perform your piece you have been working on. This will be FREE for all to watch.
No dance experience needed and this will take place for one week in August at Chancellor’s School, Hatfield.
You will also receive a FREE C-12 Summer School T-shirt.

"The Chair" TOUR
C-12 Dance Theatre presents The Chair. This emotionally charged double-bill of dance-inspired physical theatre has been capturing audiences since the premiers in Sweden and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The first piece Enough, features a female duet struggling to deal with living with a burden. The title piece, The Chair uses theatrical narrative with fluid dance and movement work to tell the story of a man who is forced to face his past.

60x60 Dance brings together dance and electronic music in an electrifying one-hour performance. This is a one-of-a-kind show, where each minute of the hour you will see a new composer and a new choreographer.
60x60 Dance takes 60 one-minute audio works from an international pool of emerging and established composers and assigns them to 60 local choreographers.
Eclectic by nature, 60x60 Dance offers an unmatched diversity of styles, making for a fast-speed, electrifying performance that never ceases to surprise. Dance influences will range from ballet to breakin’ and everything in between, while music includes neo-romantic, folk, tech-house, noise, rock and everything but the kitchen sink.
The brainchild of composer and producer Robert Voisey, 60x60 started in New York and has grown across the globe. East London Dance, Silke Arnold and Adriana Pegorer present it’s European debut as part of the Create Festival and to celebrate the two year countdown to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

"C" Performance July 27th, Luton
"C" An exclusive performance of the this theatrical dance theatre production previously performed at The Place, Stratford Circus, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Siobhan Davies Studios, Victoria Park.
This will take place during the Luton Fringe Festival and the performance will take place at The Hat Factory. "C" is a highly charged, physical story about life at a busy station platform. This athletic fast paced piece of contemporary dance theatre explores the variety of characters bumping into one another as relationships are formed in this critically acclaimed work. 6pm.
"Chancellor's School Showcase 2010" Performance
"Chancellors Showcase", July 9th, Hatfield.7pm Featuring the Youth Company "E-Motion" and C-12's adult company performing the female duet "Enough". The first of it's kind. Ravel’s Bolero, one of the most famous pieces of classical music ever written, provides the inspiration for this contemporary fusion of DJ remixed live orchestral music & choreography inspired by the regeneration of East London.
Celebrating the opening of the new DLR Stratford International extension this autumn, this spectacular event integrates an exhilarating fusion of dance & music against the backdrop of Canary Wharf’s breathtaking architecture. Bolero Remixed is choreographed by Jeanefer Jean-Charles with 100 local dancers from Eastlea Community School, Star Primary School, NewVIc, East London Dance Adult Performers Group and C-12 Dance Theatre. Featuring the New London Orchestra conducted by Ronald Corp and DJ Excalibah, Bolero Remixed invites you to experience the creativity and excitement of East London’s dynamic regeneration in action!
Bolero Remixed will provide a spectacular overture to this year’s Dancing City. The programme also features classic orchestral dance favourites by Tchaikovsky, Delibes and Prokofiev as well as new music by Ronald Corp featuring the Newham Welcomes the World Choir and New London Orchestra.
